SHIPPING POLICY

CONTIGUOUS USA SHIPPING

For Contiguous USA customers we offer standard ground shipping with no additional handling fees with the carrier of our discretion, charged at flat rates dependent on the size of the package. We strive to keep our shipping rates as low as possible so we can pass along the best prices on to our customers.

ALASKA, HAWAII, USA TERRITORIES, AND INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING

Shipping outside the Contiguous United States is charged at our quoted shipping rates plus $2.00 for handling. Rates will be quoted based on destination of the package by the carrier of our discretion and the total charge displayed on your invoice prior to purchase.

SHIPPING TIMEFRAME

Orders are processed in the order they are received and normally ship within three (3) business days and often sooner. Of note, NBMW is a small company and we will do our best to be timely with shipping orders, however from time to time there can be delays do to many circumstances.

SALES TAX

We are a Colorado based company and thus we are required to charge the appropriate sales tax to purchases made in Colorado. We can sometimes arrange pickup in Colorado but note that Colorado sales tax will be added to all orders picked-up at our location.

IMPORT DUTY, GST/VAT, AND OTHER CHARGES

Our shipping quotes for international shipments do not include Import Duty, GST/VAT, other taxes, other carrier fees, or any other fees charged by Countries aside from the US. You are responsible for these charges and may need to pay for them at the time of delivery.

We reserve the right to modify our shipping policy at any time. Changes and clarifications will take effect immediately upon their posting to our Shipping Policy page. Shipping prices may change at any time. We encourage you to review this page regularly to be familiar with the latest updates.

RETURN POLICY

OVERVIEW

All sales of products from Northbound Model Works are final. However, in the event of a kit with missing or damaged parts, or a product that otherwise doesn’t meet the standards of Northbound Model Works, we will allow returns for a refund. If more than 30 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange. To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging. Some items are exempt from being returned including but not limited to Sale Items and Custom Products.

To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase, as well as an explanation and proof of the defect of the product to be emailed to us at northboundmodelworks@gmail.com. If the product is determined to be eligible for return, we will send a Return Authorization.

There are certain situations where only partial refunds may be granted:

   -Items that have been damaged in return transit due to poor packing

   -Any item not in its original condition, is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error

RETURN SHIPPING

To return your product, you should mail your product to the address provided with the Return Authorization. You are responsible for any loss or damage to products during shipment. We can not guarantee that we will receive your returned item. You will be responsible for paying all return shipping costs of your item. The order's initial shipping costs are non-refundable.

REFUNDS (if applicable)

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within ten business days.

LATE OR MISSING REFUNDS (if applicable)

If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again. Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted. Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted. If you’ve done all of this and you still have not received your refund yet, please contact us at northboundmodelworks@gmail.com.
